Connecting your Stripe account

This guide explains how to connect your Stripe Account to AppointmentThing. This will enable you to collect payments from your attendees (via your Stripe Account) when they book appointments with you. To begin, follow the steps below.

If you're already on the Payment Types Page, ignore steps 1 through 3 and start at step 4 below

  1. Log in to your account on AppointmentThing.com 
  2. Click 'My appointments' at the top of the home page
  3. Click the 'Connected Payment Types' link in the menu on the left side of the page to navigate to the Payment Types Page (see image below). From this page you can connect to and manage your payment merchant accounts 

  4. To connect your Stripe Account to AppointmentThing, click the blue 'Continue' button to the right of the Stripe logo as seen in the image above
  5. You'll be taken to the Stripe Connect Page (see image below). At the top of this page is a second blue "Continue" button, followed by a step-by-step guide for connecting your Stripe Account. Click this second blue 'Continue' button


  6. When you click the button, you will be re-directed to Stripe's website in a new tab. Follow the step-by-step guide on the Stripe Connect Page to finish connecting your Stripe Account to AppointmentThing


When your Stripe account has been successfully connected to AppointmentThing, you will see the green "Connected" symbol next to Stripe on your Payment Types Page, as shown in the image below.


If you wish to disconnect your Stripe account in the future, you can do so by clicking the red 'Disconnect' link next to Stripe on your Payment Types Page.


Once your Stripe account is connected, you'll be ready to start accepting payments from your appointment attendees! For step-by-step instructions on how to management payment settings for specific appointment types, please follow the guide below.

    We made AppointmentThing available to everyone on June 1st. Thanks so much for trying it out!

    Prior to the launch, we were busy testing.. testing.. testing, correcting, then more testing.. testing.. testing and correcting.

    Upcoming changes
    Over the next couple of months, we’ll be gathering user feedback and (of course) be using the tools ourselves. Our testing and correcting will continue, and during this time we hope to learn a lot about the following:

    • What would be nice to have
    • What we need to improve right away
    • What needs a bit more explanation
    • Any issues or anything not working correctly

    As a result, you’ll probably see us moving things around a bit: changing labels here and there, adding new functionality and options, updating tutorials, etc. It’s all part of the process.
